A must visit place for the devotees, Baisisth ashram is one of the oldest living ashrams. According to legend, this ashram belonged to the great saint Vaisishtha. A famous Shiva temple built by Ahom king Rajeshwar Singha sits in the premises of the ashram. Located in the outskirts of Garbhanga Reserve Forest, few animals and birds can be spotted here. Basisth ashram has a beautiful waterfall and ensures peace and tranquility.
